Samsung Galaxy S6 update adressess fingerprint scanner issues

Samsung Galaxy S6
A new Samsung Galaxy S6 update has landed, bringing a number of bug fixes to the flagship Android handset.
Rectifying issues on both the S6 and spin-off Galaxy S6 Edge, the new update – which has a build number of XXU1AOE3 – has started rolling out to handset owners in both Asian and European markets.
Issues with the accuracy of the phone’s integrated fingerprint scanner are the primary fix, with the recognition process of the biometric sensor said to have been improved.
Further grumbles with a number of Samsung apps have also been addressed, while the phone’s Photo Editor tool is gaining a new, nondescript feature.
The update is being rolled out as an over-the-air patch and weighs in at just 159MB in size.
Other points addressed by the bug-fixing patch include improved compatibility with accessories and an enhanced interface on a number of apps, including the phone’s email and music services.
The Galaxy S6 launched last month with a market-leading array of specs.
The high-end handset pairs a 5.1-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display with an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and 3GB of RAM.
